Episode 1

   The entire interstellar world was thrown in chaos.

   Not only because the most wanted criminal was able to escape from the most strictly guarded place in the entire Federation, but also because with the bombing of the Research Institute, the entire starnet completely collapsed, leading to all the established order crumbling in place.  Moreover, rumours about illegal human experimentation also begun to spread rapidly.

   The government tried to stabilize order, but to no avail.

   The military was under just as much pressure.

   Although their internal communication equipment was still functionable, but after losing the starnet, it was almost impossible to organize starships to pursue across galaxies. They became so dependent on this system that the starships were paralyzed upon losing it.

   The Leviathan took the opportunity to sail away.

   The huge starship was like a silver shuttle, slowly traveling through the vast and boundless universe, there were glimmering stars in the distance, reflecting dazzling brilliance on the metal hull of the ship.

Inside the starship.

   Xiao Yi yawned. Holding the coffee, he walked slowly across the bridge to the piloting cabin.

   The handsome man was sitting on a chair with long hair loosely draped on his broad shoulders. He lowered his eyes, fixed with full attention on the piloting screen in front of him. His noble cold brows were lowered, as he focused on the flight path in front of him.

   Xiao Yi was taken aback by him: “Captain’s wi…”

   He suddenly stopped talking, and coughed: “Deputy captain!”

   Isis raised his head and glanced at him calmly, as if he was not affected by his words at all:

   “Good morning.”

   “I didn’t expect to find you here again” Xiao Yi scratched his head nonchalantly, smiled dryly, and walked in: “Have you not rested?” 

   He remembered that the other was already sitting there before his shift.

   Unexpectedly, when he woke up from a nap and was about to return to his post, he was still sitting there.

   Isis looked up at him.

  The man’s eyebrows cast a deep shadow and his dark pupils were alike to a bottomless abyss. When he looked at one fixedly, he gave people a sense of inhuman ruthlessness, making people feel inexplicably pressure and chills going down their spines.

   Xiao Yi felt a chill down his spine.

   He resisted the urge to back away, and was about to say something to ease the embarrassing situation, but the other party looked away in time.

   Isis’s voice was low and indifferent:

   “I’ve slept long enough.”

   Xiao Yi wanted to slap himself—

   what a cheap mouth.

   People stayed in the cultivation cabin for so long, and you still say this, useless brain!

   Xiao Yi drank the coffee in one gulp, then walked quickly to his seat and sat down. He decided not to speak anymore, but still couldn’t help opening his mouth:

    “Actually… now it’s on autopilot and there’s no need for someone to be watching all the time…”

     Isis raised his eyelids and glanced at him with a half-smile: “Big thanks.”

    Xiao Yi was petrified again by his look and turned his head abruptly, studying the symbols on the screen in front on him intently. 

    ——Why’s he talking so much!! 

    At this moment, he suddenly saw the signal of a ship approaching on his screen, recognised in an instant by him— captain was returning!

    Xiao Yi regained his energy, he turned around, just when he was about to say something to Isis, he saw that there was no one in the other’s seat, only the slowly closing door of the cockpit could be seen. 

   Xiao Yi: “…” So that’s why the deputy captain kept staring at the autopilot screen even forgetting to sleep… He’s waiting for the captain to come back!!! 

    He wiped his mouth.

    There was still a bitter taste of coffee in his mouth, but the more he drank, the more sour it tasted, the sourness making him want to file a complaint for single dogs abuse.

   Xiao Yi stood up from his seat listlessly and after explaining a few words to the other crew members, he also left the piloting cabin and came to the docking area of the ship—after all, the
captain was back, so he had to go and check the situation.

   The starship slowly landed in the cabin, the door opened, and the slender young man jumped out first.

   His steps were light, his brows and eyes were full of excitement, with a bit of casual wicked spirit in his expression.

    Isis went up to greet him.

   His indifferent brows and eyes softened, the pair of dark eyes were like melting ice, with a gentle expression flowing in his eyes: “How was it?”

   Ge Xiu raised his eyebrows: “What do you think?” 

   He pointed to the light storage compartment behind him, where several crew members were busy carrying down supplies.

    He raised the corners of his lips carelessly: “This time’s spoils.”

   “That’s right,” Ge Xiu seemed to suddenly think of something, took out a round thing from his pocket and gave it to Isis: “For you.”

   Isis took the object thrown by the other party and took a closer look.

   An apple.

   Plump and round, with ruddy skin and faint fruity fragrance.

   Ge Xiu looked away as if nothing had happened, and said, “Didn’t you say you haven’t eaten it before?”

   Isis was slightly startled.

   ——After leaving the research institute, he mentioned it inadvertently in a chat, but unexpectedly… the other party really remembered it.

   Ge Xiu shrugged his shoulders and said nonchalantly: “It just happened that this time there was one in that ship, so I casually took it…”

   At this moment, Xiao Yi came over from the storage of the starship, already having counted the goods. He was still complaining while walking, “Captain, captain, you said it’s not good to rob random ships, why did you rob the army’s fruit rations this time… When will we finish eating so many apples?”

   Ge Xiu: “…”

   What a great goddamn timing.

   Suddenly, Xiao Yi’s back felt chilly.

   Wait, did he say something wrong again?

   Why… why was captain’s expression so vicious!!!

   This, this was the expression that only appeared when wages were deducted!!!!

   Ge Xiu gave Xiao Yi a vicious look and made a note of him in his heart.

   Isis’s lips curled up slightly uncontrollably, he lowered his head, and lightly took a bite of the fruit in his hand.

   The peel broke under the bite of the teeth and sweet juice oozes from the milky white pulp, spreading in the mouth.

   This was probably…

   the best thing he had ever eaten.

   Ge Xiu glared at Xiao Yi angrily and made a note of him in his heart, then turned around and walked into the ship without looking back.

   Xiao Yi stood there in a daze, seeing that his deputy captain also stretched his long legs to follow, he quickly chased after them.

The man’s tall and straight back stood side by side with the young man, looking extremely harmonious from behind, the two seemed to be talking about something.

With such a long distance, Xiao Yi couldn’t hear what they were talking about, but the atmosphere around the two of them didn’t allow anyone to intervene.

They got into the elevator.

Xiao Yi woke up abruptly, ready to catch up and and call them to wait for him.

However, before he could take a few steps, he stopped abruptly.

When the elevator door was about to close, the man lowered his head and took a bite of the apple, then leaned over and kissed the other.

Xiao Yi: “…”

I want to report you for abusing single dogs, thank you.

In the elevator.

Ge Xiu pushed the other party away violently and said pretending to be angry: “What do you think you’re doing?”

In contrast to the false bravado, his ear tips hidden under the hair had already turned red.

Isis didn’t say anything, just looked at him quietly with a smile on his lips:

“What are you going to do next?”

Ge Xiu looked away and shrugged: “Take a break.”

He yawned: “I haven’t slept in three days.”

The man said: “Mm, me too.”

“Are you sleepy too?”

“Very sleepy.”
